I could exit the dungeon pretty consistantly, but as soon as I got maybe 200 feet away from the point, crash. The problem appeared later when I tried to explore the fort west of the westwatch tower, and it did that same thing, I thought I solved it after I left Lydia outside the door, but it came back again when I tried to explore White River Watch. I should mention I had Lydia along with me, but getting rid of her didn't help, neither did waiting 24 hours. The only way to get out of the look was to load an earlier save before I ever even entered the dungeon.
I tried to reload the game to an earlier point and play the dungeon again, but that time it wouldn't even allow me to exit the dungeon at all. My real problem reared its head a few days ago around the Ivarstead barrow dungeon, where upon completing it and exiting the dungeon, I found it impossible to get out of Ivarstead, not even able to cross the river to go up the 7000 steps, as it would consistently freeze. I've been trying to play a modded play through for the past week and have had a laundry list of issues, but thats not uncommon, and most I managed to fix rather easily, like a fix for PC head tracking that prevented saving, or several instances of RS children black face. Hi all, this is my first time posting a troubleshooting discussion so if I lack some information tell me what I need to do to rectify that.
